I'm irritated. With a throat that requires a drink of water every 5 mins or so thus leading the the quick generation of pee and thus the frequent trips to the toilet, you'd be irritated too. ARGHH. I couldn't even sleep properly this morning. Every 20 mins I had to wake up to go to the toilet. : (

Janice is going to kill me. haha I haven't sent out the stuffs yet. BUT I will do it before going to uni later I promise!

I wrote a really really long entry into my personal diary this morning. Because I hadnt written in it since July so I had a whole lot of things to say and by reflecting on all that has gone on since April I'm proud to say that my hols have been really fulfilling. I didn't waste it away by lazing my time away, in fact I had quite a nice balance. Unlike any other long holiday where I had an everyday job, this time it was pure relaxing, chilling out and just free and easy man.

Now that uni has started for about a month already so far its been good! Not much stress as yet due to the lesser amount of modules this sem but its just the right pace. No rush to do assignments so I can take my own sweet time and the week rbea is coming up soon. How fast. I reckon september will prolly fly by just like all other months and soon it'll be christmas again!!

I'm quite excited about the Bukit Timah nature reserve research thing we have to carry out. For the first time yesterday I went i and observed a whole lot of things other than the trail I usually rush through every other sunday. Spotted a pair of OWLS! hahaah k la suaka lim here has never seen one mah so I was damn happy to see a PAIR! They're damn cute. We saw a rather big scorpion too and a baby squirrel. whahah going back again next week to check it out and do proper research of course. How exciting!! Perks of being a geog student. : )

I shall go get my brunch then head to uni then. Toodles!

What an irony.

There was tension in the car as a communication breakdown occured btwn my sis and dad. Then all of a sudden there was a really loud BHAM! and half the windscreen was shattered.

A huge tree branch had fallen directly onto my dad's car thus shattering half the windscreen. My dad couldn't quite see properly but he was surprisingly calm. He didn't flare up or anything, in fact he evaluated the problem very rationally whilst I sat there in pure shock. Thank god the entire windscreen didn't come apart or we would have had to travel open air. And I really thank god that we all escaped unscathed.

The irony is that my dad usually picks on everything that he is displeased is. And he usually flares up for no reason at all but when this happened he was actually in a good mood. Guess he didn't want us to be sad about the car cos we all knew how much it meant to him, so he sort of made the atmosphere more cheery. But I guess he can't stop thinking about the car. And we kinda had one of the most enjoyable family dinners without any short squabbles or anything. In fact I had such a good dinner I was damn contented.

Still a bit traumatised and worried about the car, but nonetheless today was fantastic.

Hanging out with janice was nothing short of non-stop laughter and endless fun. Thanks so much girl for the wonderfully thought of gifts and cheers to our 5 years of closeness! : )) I think the depot laksa burnt all of her insides. Haha and I bought damn comfy flip flops! It was so funny cos we were both trying on the flip flops and going wah lau ehh si beh shiok ah. HAHAHAHAHA.. and Jan bought back to school shoes which I still do not approve of. haha! I think when she goes back to UK I will be damn sad again. Boohoo

Current wishlist:

- Silver hobo bag (I found a cheaper replacement to the Aldo one!)
- Dye and highlight hair
- a nice long bohemian skirt
- black jacket

Time for my daily dose of serial!

After one afternoon of prancing around and stuffing all sorts of whatever is available at home down my throat, I've finally come up with the first draft of my essay. haha a sign of still being in quite a holiday mode.

THERE'S NO UNI ON MONDAY!!! except the irritating cem lecture which is really annoying because everyone else has an entire day off except us. And I want to go eat my depot road laksa earlier. : (

Other than that, life's good. Need to amend the essay when I get back tonight then tmr I'm free!! Need to lift my ass off the chair to go exercise anyway. Anyway just some pics from my hp below.. I finally transferred them over today and realised some of them are blur! Sigh so much for a 2 megapixel camera when I can't quite make my hand not shake so much.

But for now, it's time to go dress up for dinner at hong sing! wherever that is.

Jason, hope you have a fantastic trip to thailand yeah! Come back in one piece!

Birthday post.

I actually typed a nice long entry this morning then it got lost somewhere in the process of publishing. sigh.

And so I spent the day at home today on my birthday. I had actually planned to just laze about and have a relaxing day beginning with waking up from a real nice undisturbed sleep but nope my mum scheduled for the maid to come. how nice. So at 9 in the morning I woke up and sulked.

But dad brought some nice lunch back and we went for dinner at a nice restaurant just now plus had very delicious cake so everything's fine now. haha like miss lim sze mein, I'm easily contented with food too.

But seriously, heartfelt thanks to all who wished me and even surprised me. Thanks!! :))

Celebrations sort of started on wednesday where I had the first/best mambo night cum phuture r&b night. haha if you knew me you'd know I so do not club, but since there was some event going on and Cher suggested going so I went! And really had loads of fun. For the first time the music was fab and the company too of course. We partied till late and the night ended with damn shiok roti prata near jan's place. Special thanks to that girl who made the night a really fantastic one. Only damn paiseh thing was I held some guy's hand by mistake. And he happily held mine back till I felt some roughness and wondered how come cher's hand had become so rough. yikes. Crowd was good and as per normal the lychee martini had me craving for more, more, more!

Then last night I had dinner with 3 lovely people and it dawned upon me suddenly that it had been about 1 and a half years since we all left jc but we still keep very much in contact! I had lunch with 3 other jc mates on wednesday too and I think next week we're all gonna meet up again. Hope this goes on for many many years ahead. : ) But last night was really enjoyable. We talked about quite a few things and I mean girls being girls, get together means bitch non stop right. Highlight had to be the romantic escapade thing. muahha comrade you better execute the plan!!!

Am meeting my babysitter (when I was a baby of course) for dinner tmr night. Uncle pol will be joining us too. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an sms from him today wishing me happy birthday. haha for one that hardly ever sms-es, I was touched to receive his sms! And also the fact that he remembered of course.

And so once again a BIG THANK YOU to all for the wishes and I hope the day went great for all of you too. So how do I feel being 20? haha same lor.. I undergo premature aging anyway! Next year should be a blast I hope. Most will be celebrating their internationally independent age so I forsee myself being very broke right from the start of the year. Stupid Cher Tan has to come out into this earth on the 2nd of January. Hahahaha no la you'll get a nice BIG PRESENT from me babe!

I am very tired. Been tired since yesterday. So here's to the last hour of my special day. : )

P.s. Jan its the depot road laksa which relocated to alexandra village i think.. the hawker place opposite queensway and Ikea. Will arrange timing with you again!! Monday yeah!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY SWEET TANYA!!!

Hope you had a blast yesterday and also may you be as sweet and charming this 20th year!! : ))

I received your card today babe. Thanks so much!! *heart

The monday-sian-sian-sian syndrome didn't hit so badly today. Maybe its cos I had my fav chicken sandwich this morning so my mood sort of balanced itself out accordingly. : )) I am so food-based. haha thus explaining the bulges all over the place. Plus the presentation went really smoothly so I'm proud of our work and my pamphlet of course. Whaha my first attempt at coming up with a pamplet.

*zooms to do essay outline.

As per usual, nights out with Jan are always fun-filled and whacky!

Haha tonight we hung out at nydc. Thanks for the treat babe. Though someone forgot all about my coming bday... but oh heck I still love this babe very very much!! She psycho-es me big time all the time to buy stuff. Grr.. and so now I'm involved in buying the top from Esprit. haha we went all over Orchard to look for it and Esprit even held the shop open but alas! There was a damn mark on the last one. Not fated perhaps. Haha that stupid tan liyan proclaimed me as a spend-thrift. In defence, it's a good week to spend ma! Self indulgence you know. hahaha I am damn excited about wed night!!

I spotted "eternal envy" on the streets and my heart skipped a beat. Sigh so damn chio man.

Tired. Nights!!!

Motorola is such a pain in the ass. I had to reconnect 4 times just to get all the photos over.

But anyway, I just uploaded a whole long row of photos. haha I suck at trying to make it a collage thing, and also I highly doubt the small little window space for text is enough to incorporate the pics. So just look at the normal big sized ones.

Sort of summarises what I did for the last month or so. Thought that the camera sucked quite bad but upon transferring it to the com actually its not that bad la. hahaha but I'll still welcome my new 2 megapixel phone with big wide open arms!!!! Thanks so much sis and Mic for this wonderful present!!

Good morning!! Once again Friday knocks and I can already smell Monday's tragedy coming.

Haha ok I'm being paranoid. Next week's going to be a good week. I don't care, I'll make it a good week because it's supposed to be a special week. : ))

Meanwhile, things to look forward to this weekend?
- my new hp is arriving today!!!! *jumps in delight
-I've sold off my old (though only one month) one and finally managed to locate the cables which were stuffed in some remote corner of the house
- Meeting Janice this sat night!
- Hopefully clear off at least one assignment that is due next week.

Backside itchy. I feel like going to dye and highlight my hair tonight.

Had quite an irritable day yesterday. So I hereby apologise to all who I snapped at or almost pierced through with daggers for eyes. But going to Essential Brew at night sort of took away all things that were bugging me. It's a damn nice chill out place. We should go upstairs next time!! Laughed myself silly over comrade's newly invented string cup (really those chinese tea cups) BRA!!! hurhurhur..

Wai, we need to meet soon!! Your banana pocky is erm, still in my house!

Bewitched was disappointing. But nonetheless Nicole Kidman made the show work wonders. She just has that magic about her that's so attractive! Anyway the seats at cineleisure were quite uncomfortable. As in the seats were too short. Thus you either slide down quite low to rest your head on the seat at the risk of being blocked by the front person, or you sit upright and piss off the person at the back who has slided down. It's prolly just that cinema though.

But anyway, I realise I forgot to blog about the dim sum dollies. They were so hilarious we really laughed till we rocked back and forth in the seat and nearly teared. My jaws ached at the end of the show and in fact time passed so fast it had me asking for more, more, more! They've extended their show till this sat, so go catch it man!! Highly recommended. The jokes were all so Singaporean they were familiar yet put in such a hilarious way we were all highly amused. : ))

I bought a not-on-the-wishlist top today. Sigh. But it was too pretty I couldn't resist. Shopping is damn shiok when you've not shopped for quite sometime so you've got the moolah to just GO GET WHATEVER I WANT MAN! But due to limited time, I couldnt quite source out the things on my wishlist. Sighh till the next available shopping slot I suppose.

sleeep.

Mondays never kick off a good start to the week.

Long hours at uni + presentation = sian syndrome. But am glad the presentation is over. Though I didn't quite get some of my facts right. Sigh the great procrastinater took whatever available as usual. *passes the baton to qingqing. All the best for your presentation tmr!

Anyway my self esteem is at quite a low point. Sometimes I really don't feel like talking at all. And I have to work on paying attention during lectures and tutorials without day dreaming. I've been trying quite hard to faithfully do my readings. hahaha but somehow just doesn't quite register. My lappie has died. *alleluia. Oh shit freak I'm supposed to bring it to uni tmr. ARGHH I told you mondays were never good.

I nearly died just now too. As in serious death, not a literary exemplification. This long metal bar fell from above and missed my mum and I by just a bit. really KILLER LITTER. A part of it flew off and hit my foot thus causing a teeny bit of bleeding. Yet another reason to why mondays are never good.

Guess I'm easily happy yet easily put down. If you asked me how I felt on most days, I can't quite answer you. And my memory is failing me. And I sound like I'm getting real old. I'm going to have an early night. Hope the week picks up tmr!

Some people ought to be shot to death. Or should be put through the traditional chinese water torture.

Once you're done with the reference book put it back la jackass!

I think I'm just unlucky la. Out of three areas I was assigned Malay areas. Yet out of three books the only one missing there was KAMPONG GLAM.

What the fuck. *screams*

On the topic of tuition teachers, I was suddenly reminded of Lao Shi. haha so I shall dedicate an entire entry to her. The one and only Lao Shi who taught me chinese for like 10 years!!!!!!

I really should visit her soon one day. Cos she's getting old. She was old even when she taught me, my sis, Angelene and Adelene. Haha followed by the next generation, my mum's friend's kids whom we introduced to her.

Lao shi was really the best. She made maggi for me when I was hungry and traditionally every year during the mooncake fest she'd give me one of those little piggies. (I give one to my tuition kid traditionally too but she doesn't quite seem to like the idea dammit) Anyway yeah Lao Shi always had goodies for us whenever she returned from some place and she'd offer us whatever she cooked.

She was so sweet, warm and sincere. One great mum whose kids were so filal and I remember a time when her daughter's hammy died she got rid of it discreetly for fear of her daughter being sad on seeing the dead hammy.

Now her son has given her grandchildren and her daughter's probably married.

I would really wish to go back and visit her again. Back to that same old familiar house where I went for 10 YEARS!! Unbelievable. I would actually travel 1 hour from Pasir Ris and back just for that 1 and a half hour session. The grades didnt quite matter though I amazingly turned out fine in chinese, it was her whom I really respected and considered.

Lao Shi Lao Shi Lao Shi!!!!!! : )))))))))

The performance was phenomenal, and her voice, divine.

One song after another and her voice never faltered, delivering a smooth and flawless rendition of all her songs. The lyrics meant so much and when she sang everything in its time I nearly welled up with tears. It really was so beautiful. Then when she sang close to you I melted. The way she sang this classic was heavenly and she made it so meaningful.

Despite the slight glitch in the sound system, she made it all fun and entertaining.

I am so glad my partner let me in on the second half though he wanted very much to watch the whole show. : )))))

The next time she comes I'm so going to buy tickets instead of having to work. She stole my heart and soul and everything. No singer has ever evoked such great emotion in me before. Corrine May is the woman!!!

Tuesday, August 09, 2005

I think I'm going to die of vegetable cracker overload. Beacause no one wanted to help me finish it so I had to stuff most of it down. but no fear!!! my mum, sis and I are now proud owners of the...

OTO TRIMMAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wahahahha wrap it anywhere you want and it'll vibrate your fats. : ))) We tried it on almost every part possible in the shop and I laughed like hell. It really vibrates you right up to your toes. The sales guy was a real nice chap. He even let us try the foot thing which was so ticklish I looked like some stupid squealing red-faced secondary school kid who just saw her crush. Sigh.. never bring me along for massages or foot reflexology. This oto trimmax sells real well man.. from the time we stepped in, they sold 5 sets!

Uni's at 830 tmr. sigh but all's not that bleak. corrine may tmr!!! *jumps up and down. This week will fly by. Before I know it, it's time to give my presentation. Somehow I'm really not settled at all for this sem. haha too long a break, I cannot stop having fun!!!

Charlie and the choc factory was good btw, despite the hassle of getting the tickets and the slight reprimand I got today from parents. Willy wonka is so eccentric! But I like. : )))

Happy National Day peeps!

Sunday, August 07, 2005

This weekend has been fantastic!!!! I hope I'll stay in this happy mode for quite some time. But then again I have fluctuating moods.

Finally walked the entire lonngg route at Bukit Timah today and it was shiok!!! Surprisingly I didn't feel like giving up halfway though the time of the month is here and usually I'd feel quite paralysed but yeah man I enjoyed walking today!! Prolly cos I'm very into this exercise thing now. My dad's friend says :

"eh haven't seen you for like 2 years here laa!!" wu ya bo! haha 2 years!??!! That was so exaggerated. I was there just 3 weeks ago!

Comrade and I received roses from the v tea room yesterday as it was their first year anniversary. : )) sigh the rose died today though. And as always, I really enjoyed the ambience, service and tea. More importantly I had 2 people who appreciated the place just as much so it was perfect!! We planned alot alot for the trip. haha hope it really gets through in the end. I am so excited about it!!!!

Sadly I had to rush home in a cab. That cost me a disgusting 18 bucks, and I reached home slightly before 12. Heng ah.. Parents were asleep and I was just thinking it's such a hard decision. Your parents tell you they worry shitloads for you when you come home late, but yet when you're out it's just so hard being the party pooper all the time. Sigh I hate being the party pooper, but on the other hand also hate defying my parents.

The fireworks were nothing short of being spectacular. And they lasted for a real long time. And for other reasons I was damn happy looking at it amidst all the quite irritating "wahhhh" at each beautiful burst of colourful lights. I guess the national day one will be just as good. yay! I'll never get sick looking at these fireworks man.

I managed to sell my edu psycho book!!!! yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah! I hate that book quite a fair bit so its great that I can finally get rid of it!!!

And so that constituted my good weekend. haha I didn't buy anything but am still happy. I'm all determined to save up. Go me!

May everyone have a good week ahead! *blessings from head nun* erm anyway, cher and yans, have a great week at uni k! You're welcome for the chocs. haha I like surprising you guys with little gifts. : )

Thursday, August 04, 2005

I woke up at 815 to get ready for the maid's arrival and she came at 9. -_-

Module registration was supposed to start at 9 but the thing jammed up and could only start at 930. -_-

Delays delays delays. I am so SLEEPY!!! I think my people tolerance rate has gone down significantly. It's so easy to get displeased with people around me. Poor them. Subject to my ever changing moodiness and crankiness.

On the other hand, I'd like to applaud comrade on her very very entertaining and absolutely hilarious entry about roachie. I share the exact same sentiments having to come home amidst running roaches at my void deck. Urggh. They run so damn fast their legs don't even seem like they're touching the floor.

In reference to my fellow WHY-OH-WHYer, I feel as saddened too. haha we're going insane at 1am in the morning chatting non-stop about a certain being. SIGH.

Today was a relatively good day. I walked back from my tuition kid's place! haha took me about half an hour. : )) And then headed to JB for a good meal.

It's getting frustrating to chat with you. Stop giving me one word answers dammit!

Tuesday, August 02, 2005

Some random shots taken at JS's birthday party thing last sat. Courtesy of Grace. : )) My cam is still undergoing repairs. Sigh hope it'll be back by the 9th of August!

Cher and I had the most shocking swim yesterday. hahaha I've never seen the sky in such an awesome display of dark grey cum green clouds. And the turnover was damn fast! We jumped in when it was bright and sunny. Then I swam one lap, turned behind me and oh my shiittteeee the whole sky was overcast. And so we sat there and waited for the rain to stop whilst looking at small kids ask each other what nutella was. soo cute.

Then we went and satisfied our laksa craving. None other than the famous depot road laksa of course, which had us downing sugarcane and wiping the sweat cum nose drip off in the process of eating. It's seriously damn shiok. My lips were inflammed man. haha the gravy was spicy yet thick, and the chicken meat blended in perfectly. The standard hasn't dropped though they've moved. I like!!

After which we headed to Masa for a hair trim. (sudden notion thought of in the midst of swimming) And yeah I trimmed my already not quite existent hair. hahaha and it's even thinner now. Cher looks much better now too. I love that salon cos Esther is so pro. hahaha perhaps go there for a dye job soon too. : ))

So I rushed back and went for tennis with qing and jason. Laughed alot during and also after where we had dinner at mos. My tennis still sucks. dammit. My fingers were trembling at the end of the session. hahaha lousy I know... but I haven't played in ages!!

I think it's still the beginning of sem thus can enjoy so much. Nothing much planned for this week except one dinner and lunch date.

AUGUST IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
